The hut of the Plankensteiner
Regardless of whether you write Plankenstein with "P" or "B", as in many old place names, the hut belonging to the Plankenstein local group is one of the most beautiful in the Tegernsee valley. Located at the foot of the Wallberg and the Rosskopf, it is the pride of our hut community. Easy to reach on a good road, whether summer or winter. With its location in a nature reserve, not far from the Suttensee, it offers everything that nature and sports enthusiasts want. Can be reached directly on skis, the starting point for many cycling and hiking tours and at the same time a retreat for rare plants and animals that is rarely found in the foothills of the Alps. If you want other entertainment, after a few kilometers you are in the Tegernsee valley with many entertainment options including the famous Bräustüberl with one of the best beers in the world. We Plankensteiners are proud of our colorful composition from all Bavarian regions and of the great solidarity that is necessary for the maintenance and care of the hut and that is lived daily.
